On November 15th, 2008, over 47 people – citizens, elected officials, and public agency representatives – met at the M-NCPPC Brookside Auditorium at Wheaton Regional Park for a workshop about strengthening stream stewardship. Presentations by public agency representatives highlighted agency structure and citizen resources. Subwatershed group representatives gave interesting presentations on the importance of having fun with your group, the value of diversity and history, and how small groups can gain grant money from local resources. Council members from both Prince George's and Montgomery Counties talked about the importance of citizen interaction with local government. Several presentations are available for download.
