The Takoma Branch Subwatershed Trash Reduction Initiative is an effort by Prince George's County Department of Environmental Resources, Metropolitian Washington Council of Governments and residents of Chillum Ray and Takoma Park to improve the health of Takoma Branch and the larger Anacostia by addressing the trash loads entering the tributaries. This initiative is an extension of Jack Johnson, Prince George's County Executive's Livable Communities Initiative.
