Anacostia Restoration Plan (ARP) Report Project Data Information

Welcome to the Anacostia Restoration Plan Project Data And Related Map page. Explore the over 3,000 candidate "opportunities" projects identified in the Anacostia Restoration Plan. View the project(s) in your subwatershed, by eight ARP project types, by ownership and by zip code. Download the entire project information table, or available GIS project shapefiles. Project detailed information can also be found in the subwatershed project inventory reports that are located here.

Please be aware that certain ARP datasets are either of a proprietary nature or have access restricted by local licensing agreements, and therefore cannot be distributed through this site. They are not limited too but include building footprints, road centerlines and pavements, property parcel data, water and sewer lines, storm drain location and pipe network, and public landownership. The following web sites provide additional information to access the aforementioned spatial data:

  1. MCatlas,
  2. PGatlas and
  3. DCatlas.

In addition, the over 3,000 candidate projects identified in the ARP represent restoration “opportunities,” only. Not all of these projects may ultimately prove viable, fundable, or in certain rare cases, even desirable.

Available ARP project-related spatial data include: 

  1. Restoration project-specific point locations and attribute tables for each of the eight categories: Stormwater management, Stream restoration, Wetland restoration, Fish passage, Riparian reforestation, Trash reduction, Toxic remediation and Parkland acquisition*;    
  2. Stormwater restoration project drainage areas*;
  3. Jurisdictional boundaries*;
  4. NRCS soils data*;
  5. Subwatershed and sub-catchment boundaries*;
  6. Water bodies*;
  7. Stream channel networks*; and
  8. Land use/land cover*.
